Artfreediving and underwater dance
ArtFreediving is the world's first and well established underwater dance school. In just one lesson you will be able to move confidently, beautifully and easily on the surface of the water without any effort.
ArtFreediving is also a unique method of teaching dance on the surface of water and underwater. It has been proven to have therapeutic qualities. The students learn to understand the biomechanics and individual characteristics of their bodies, and through body awareness to move in the water effortlessly.
It is a somatic approach to freediving and underwater movement, where through the body awareness, sensitivity, breath control, attention and playfulness one achieves harmony and relaxation.
It is very harmonious and beautiful but also it is a way to work on oneself, on your fears, blocks and inner conflicts.
This approach is complementary to freediving. It adds playfulness, partnerwork and contact, art and creativity to the conventional freediving.
Water dance makes one free of limitations linked to the age, trauma, weight, size etc. It is a possibility to enjoy the freedom of movement, and experience it in your whole body.
ArtFreediving shifts your attention from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to the depths of awareness, becoming a meditation in movement. Everyone develops their unique authentic qualities of the movement in water, becoming at ease in water without violence but through the pleasure.
ArtFreediving developed by Alexandra Gordeeva and the international OceanDance team. The method is shared with our students and colleagues around the world.

About me
I am a CMAS-certified art-freediving instructor, trained by Alexandra Fokina in 2024, and currently based in Brussels, Belgium, where I guide underwater dance experiences in both deep and shallow pools. My approach bridges somatic awareness, aesthetic expression, and aquatic freedom — inviting participants to explore the fluid poetry of the body beneath the surface. Whether in a warm therapeutic pool or the profound silence of deep water, I create spaces for people to reconnect with breath, presence, and their inner movement language. I am currently in training to become a certified PADI freediving instructor, expanding my ability to support others in exploring the depths — physically, creatively, and soulfully.
